Connect Axiom.
Connect the Axiom datasets or saved views you want Perfloop to use. It reads field names and query aggregates such as counts and percentiles. Raw events stay in Axiom.

Access you need
- advanced api token · query readCreate a Custom advanced API token. Give it Query read access only for the datasets or views you want to connect. Do not use a personal access token. Axiom documents this in its token guide.
- datasets or saved viewsEnter each dataset or saved-view name exactly. Perfloop validates each name. It does not list every dataset the token can access.
- Axiom endpointUse the base URL for your Axiom deployment. The default is https://api.axiom.co. Paths, query strings, credentials in the URL, and IP addresses are rejected.
Setup
1 · create the token
In Axiom, open Settings → API tokens → New API token. Select Advanced, then Custom. Grant Query read only for the exact resources you plan to connect. Add an expiration date if your policy requires one.
2 · choose your datasets or views
Prefer a saved view or sanitized dataset that omits payloads, personal data, secrets, and any field value that must not appear in an aggregate grouping.
3 · connect in perfloop
On your Perfloop Setup page, enter the Axiom deployment URL, the token, and one row per dataset or view. Perfloop checks access to each resource with a count query. It saves the connection only when all checks pass.
Data Perfloop reads
- Schema metadata. Perfloop reads field names and types with getschema.
- Aggregate results. Each query covers one connected dataset or view and a set time window. Models can read up to 1,000 aggregate rows per query. Verification queries can read the complete aggregate to check a performance result. Queries must end with a summary or count.
- Grouping values. Queries can group results by fields in the connected dataset or view. These groups can expose individual field values. Use a saved view or sanitized dataset that excludes values you do not want Perfloop to receive.
Perfloop rejects queries that return raw events or combine datasets. It can store query definitions and aggregate results to support its performance measurements.
Credentials and network access
Perfloop encrypts your token and uses it only to query the datasets or views you connect. Models and execution sandboxes do not receive the token.
Use a public HTTPS endpoint with a valid certificate. For a private Axiom endpoint, contact us to arrange access to that address. You cannot enable private network access from Setup.
Change or remove access
Select Edit connection in Setup, change the token or resource list, then select Save connection. The current connection remains active unless the replacement passes validation. Revoke or delete the token in Axiom to disconnect Perfloop and stop new reads. Revocation does not delete product records or stored connection metadata; request tenant deletion for that data.
